Clarification...owe from a foreclosure.
Okay, my last post didn't completely post.
My mother had multiple properties. One went into foreclosure in the state of Michigan. Can the bank auction off the home she resides in to try and collect the remaining balance?

Traditional 15- and 30-year fixed rate home loans are popular when interest rates are low and you plan on staying in your home for more than 10 years. Short-term fixed rate home loans also let you lock-in a good rate and are ideal when you may only stay in your home for a shorter period.

Okay, that really doesn't answer my question about if the bank can auction off her primary residence.

Jade1,

Welcome to forum

How much amount do your mother owe to the lender? If this is 2000-3000$ then they may not even try to come after you're mother's property but if the amount is much more larger then legally they will try to get their money by auctioning your mother's property.

So it is advised to directly talk with your lender.
