do you know if there is anyone in the hartford ct area that can assist me with a deed in lieu of foreclosure? i am very nervous about all of this. any help would be appreicated.

There is nothing to be nervous about a deed in lieu of foreclosure. I believe, the bank or the lender you are doing the DIL with, will guide you through the whole process. In a DIL, you willingly transfer the title to your property to the bank so they can sell it to recover the outstanding loan amount.

jenkin7 , I agree with you there is no any thing to be nervous he need to believe on bank. As you say lender will guide him.
