Hello i am 3 months behind and i have recieve a notice that my house will be fore closed if my balance is not settled .do i still have time to do a DIL ?Without foreclosing
you can discuss it with your mortgage lender. prepare a hardship letter & specify reason of failure in it.
Depending upon your case, they may approve DIL

hi henryaboagye,
it would have been better if you would have applied for a deed in lieu of foreclosure before you received the default notice. however, i would still suggest you to have a word with your lender and apply for a deed in lieu of foreclosure. you can write a hardship letter to your lender and check out if he agrees to it. if your request is accepted, the lender would stop foreclosure proceedings against you.
thanks
