any help i can get from anyone out there would be so greatly appreciated.
so, ex-husband and i divorce and is final in 2011. i keep the house, however his name has still been on the loan. i was at risk of foreclosure up until today when i received the news that my loan modification has been accepted. then two hours later, my stupid heartless ex-husband tells me that he's filing bankruptcy and is including the house. is he screwing me out of the house or what? god, i'm so angry and upset right now. talk about ruining my good day!

Hi andreac!
Welcome to the forums!
If he files bankruptcy, he will have to include the debt in it. It would have been better if you would have refinanced the mortgage solely in your name. If the loan is included in bankruptcy, then the lender will stop any action on the property unless the bankruptcy filing gets discharged.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi andreac,
Let the lender take his call! If the loan or the property is included in the bankruptcy filing, the lender will come to know about it. You should wait and check what steps the lender takes in respect to the loan modification that he had offered you.
