Indymac forclosed on our house in 08 after telling me not to pay on our mortgage til our loan modification went thru but it never did! Now Im getting calls and letters from real time resolution stating they are going to come after us for wage garnishment and personal property if we dont pay $63000.00 We had an 80/20 at the time both with Indymac. We have 5 kids and are barely making it what do we do?
Hi trinabelle!
Welcome to forums!
As far as I can understand, the lender has sold off your mortgage account to a collection agency and they are contacting you for the payments. You will have to negotiate with the collection agency and get a payment plan in order to pay off the dues. Or else, you can contact your lender and ask him to withdraw the account from the collection agency and negotiate with him in order to pay off the dues.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
