Can we get a mortgage after foreclose?

Posted on: 16th Nov, 2010 05:49 pm
My house was foreclosed on 1 year and 5 months ago. My credit score is about 580 or so. I make approximately 130K per year and my husband makes $70K. His score is worse than mine. What is the likelihood that we could get another mortgage for $250K?
Hi Guest,

Welcome to mortgage fit,

If you wish to get a new conventional home loan you should have credit score somewhere between 680-700...
If you wish to get a FHA loan min. credit score required is 620....So your prime most activity is to build your credit....So once you have min.620 credit you could apply for FHA loan...by that time you can also save money for down-payment...

Feel free to ask any further query if you have........
