HOA question

Posted on: 05th Jan, 2010 07:50 am
My home was foreclosed on and then recinded by the bank; which means I now own the home again. The HOA connected to that property never sent me a bill until the home was being foreclossed upon. Having never lived in a place where HOAs are, I thought the payment was included in the house payment.

The HOA now wants to garnish my check. Don't they first have to place a lein/foreclose on the home in my name?
in order to execute a garnishment, they'd have to have received judgment in court (in my experience and my viewpoint). i don't know the laws that rule in a case like that, so you ought to contact your attorney for clarification.
