I had a house in foreclosure that I sold prior to it being auctioned.
Does anyone have the names of any mortgage companies willing to write a loan. My credit score is 642 and I make decent money.
The house was ourchased with someone else who lived in in and abaondonned the house after Hurrican Katrina. I did not know the house had been abondonned until i moved backto New Orleans from Arizona.
Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Cajunell.
Welcome to the forum.
Your score is not too good. You should have 680 score to get approve for a mortgage loan with better rates and terms. So I would suggest you to wait a bit more so that you can improve your credit.
BTW you can get approved with 642 score also but the rates and terms will not be very good.
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry

ok im not not sure on the question. You had a house, it went into the foreclosure. So you sold it prior to the auction. But now you want to finance it?
Im loosing you somewhere.
As far as getting financing w 642 score you can do it if you can go full doc. FHA loan is what you need. And if its in Katrina relief zone you should check to see what government programs are offered to you for help.
