My husband is in a bit of a pickle! When he divorced his ex-wife, she got the marital home, but he is still on the mortgage and the deed. The lawyers said they should just sell the house, but in this economy they didn't even have one showing in the year it was on the market! Now we want to purchase a home together. My credit is good, I can sell my condo, but my salary is not great. My husband has the great salary, but he is stuck in this other house! If he walks away and lets it go into foreclosure, will he be able to buy a house with me, maybe as a secondary? Please HELP!
yes....in case of coborrower u can buy a new house..........
Only if you can qualify with both incomes AND both mortgages on his portfolio

If you are really serious about buying another house, you would be better off renting the current house and shwo enough incoem to pay for both the houses, you shoudl nto have any difficulties
If he stops makign payment it will really affect his credit score and you may nto be able to buy for at least few years
Good luck and feel free to ask
