Do employers really check your credit when hiring you? I know lower paying jobs may not. Although I am close to taking a job at McDonald's in a couple of months, I have not reached that point yet, and still am hopeful to find a job in my career. I am just wondering if employers are running a credit check before they call me, after looking at my resume.
I really wonder......Is it true that employer checks credit?
I am surprised....
Anyone any idea....

employers are routinely checking credit reports as part of their hiring processes. the best way to determine if one might check your credit is to ask that question of them.
For sure they will do some back ground check and also public records.
Normally it is done using a third party and depnds what the third party will report.
