Does a judge take my living situation into consideration?

Posted on: 10th May, 2010 02:57 pm
I have a Summary Judgment foreclosure tomorrow. My daughter is 7mo pregnant and has a 14mo old and they are living with me will this have any bearing on how long I can stay in my home? I want to keep my home but Ive had a real problem finding work. I finally got a job a few months back but it pays min. wage which barely covers food and the utilites. I had a leased car when I lost my job and I've been trying to $$ together to get a cheap used one because naturally my lease was up the month after I lost my job. will the judge take any of this into consideration? HELP!! I live in south florida.
Hi msregina!

Welcome to forums!

I doubt whether or not the judge will take your situation into consideration. You can inform the judge about your situation and request him to give you some more time to stay in the property which can help you in finding a new place to live in. However, it will be completely the judge's discretion whether or not he will allow the same.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
