we filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and it was discharged with no problems on june 25th. before the bankruptcy i had made an a payment arrangement with citi mortgage to catch my loan up and was not told until august via a letter from them that if i didnt pay the full past due amount including late fees that they are going to forclose. my question is how long do i have to stay in the home and look for another place to live before they evict us?
In Chapter 7 cases , you can continue to stay for about 120 days.

Does the 120 days vary depending on what state you live in?

As far as I know, the 120 days time limit does not vary from state to state. However, your best option would be consult your attorney and take his opinion.
