I have a hearing coming up will the ask me to leave the house right away?
Depends on the lender, but once it's in their name you should plan on leaving asap or you may come home one day to find the locks changed and all your items are inside.

i don't think anyone is simply going to change locks on a home that they've foreclosed. there will be due notice - keep in contact with the court to assure yourself that you know your rights - that is obviously key.

Agreed, George, however I know from a personal friend who had not yet gone to court that her locks were indeed changed prior to the foreclosure. I was very surprised that it happened that way but it did none the less.

that's a lawsuit waiting to happen, in my opinion. i can't believe a lender would be so brash as to perpetrate such a move.
