Where do I begin. Well my question my ex girlfriend own a home joit tenancy. I moved out and she rented a room to her sister. After I left she pulled out $30,000 without my knowledge and then let the home fall into foreclosure. Can she do that without my consent. Pull out money like that?

Additional info. There are 2 loans I am on the 2nd she is on the 1st. Mine is current her's is 9 months behind. she wont sell. quit claim etc. Just trying to stick it to me. What can I do?

Thanks
Miserable Mike
hi mike,

since your ex-girlfriend is listed on the title as a joint tenant, she has as much rights to the property as the you have. she can take equity out of the property as long as she has the ownership rights. however, i don't think she can rent a room to her sister without your permission.

you are only on the second mortgage which is still current, right? if you are not listed on the first mortgage and your ex defaults on it, your credit will not be negatively affected by if the first lender forecloses the home. however, you will have to continue making payments on the second mortgage to avoid any negative impact on your credit.
