Name on Deed Not on Mortgage

My husband obtained a mortgage in RI. We currently live in FL. I am on the deed to the house. If my husband goes in foreclosure will they come after me for the money.

Hi ljackson,

Being on the property deed does not make you liable for a mortgage. Unless you signed on the mortgage promissory note, you are not responsible for the mortgage. Thus, the foreclosure will not affect your credit scores. However, your name can appear on the foreclosure notice since you are on the property title.
