Looks like my home is going to go into foreclosure. Right now I am engaged and will be married in July. In all likelihood (at least it seems that way by reading other people's stories) I am still going to be in foreclosure. If I get married (we live in the state of Washington) can they come after my new husband for the money? Will his financial state be factored in at all? Should I not change my name?
Welcome fallingalice,
Your new husband's name is not mentioned on the property deed. In such a situation, the lender won't be able to come after your new husband in order to recover your dues.
