Hi - My home lender sued me and last week got a "summary judgement" and now I think somebody is trying to serve me some papers, maybe with a moveout date??? Should I avoid this guy when he bangs on my door again or just accept them? This lender, btw hasn't served me with any papers throughout this ordeal, which is my first. I'm wondering if this might hold up the moveout or give me a chance to keep the house since I can now make the payments?? Thank you.
Hi pvbnolegu!

In my opinion, rather than ignoring the lender, it's better to accept the court papers. It will help you in negotiating with your lender for a deed in lieu or a loan modification. If you go for a modification, you would be able to save the property and will get an affordable payment plan to pay off the dues.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
