In massachusetts I was foreclosed upon the original auction date was postponed and I was not notifyed. Is the attorney for the bank in the event of the date change required to process the new date for the foreclousre all over and re publish re-notify etc
Hi turnikere,
As far as I know, foreclosure sale can be postponed in Massachusetts at the discretion of the auctioneer. There is also not any applicable limit to the number of times a foreclosure sale can be postponed. The auctioneer does not have to process the foreclosure all over again to set a new date. He can simply announce a new date at the original sale date or can post a notice specifying the new date and time for the sale.
