Nope

The lender will be responsible to pay the taxes at that time

Aftre the sale, the lender will pay the taxes and they may come after you for the dieficient amount depending on which state you live

Hi dee!

Welcome to forums!

If you have an escrow account with your lender, then he would pay the property taxes from the money you've accumulated in that account. Non-payment of property taxes may lead to tax lien on your property. The county can even sell off your property to recover the tax dues.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

beware the evil tax lien!

oh well, not really, because taxes are always given first priority over any other claims on title. there will be no need for a tax lien, unless one's already been placed, since the taxes will get paid before the lender when the home is sold.
