How can I remove a foreclosure from our credit reports and off the banks files

How can I remove a foreclosure from our credit reports and off the banks files...Our house went into foreclosure and we had 6 months to redem and we did a short sale and paid off the bank before the redemption time ran out.

The bank reported a foreclosure to our creditors. I spoke to an attorney and she said that part of closing the deal should of included that no foreclosure would be listed.

How can I remove a foreclosure from our credit reports and off the banks files?

Sincerely Yours,

Jean Newman
You should have paperwork showing that the shortsale was completed and that the foreclosure did not go through. That being said, the shortsale is no better than the foreclosure "unless" you had a written agreement with the lender on how they were going to report it.

the foreclosure is probably showing as dismissed or will be. You can dispute this through the credit reporting agencies and they most likely will remove it if this is the case.
