My name is the only name on the mortgage deed. After my divorce, the court graned me the home, however, my ex-husband name is on the loan only, the mortgage is in foreclosure, but I want to sign the house over to the mortgage company, what should I do?
Welcome tootsie,
If your name is not mentioned on the mortgage docs, then you're not liable for the mortgage payments. When the lender forecloses the property, you can sign the deed in favor of the lender and get rid of the property.
