If I rent a house and then that property goes into foreclosure, will that affect my lease?
No, the lease agreement won't affect due to the foreclosure.

Hi Guest!

Welcome to the forums!

I agree with Niicss that the lease agreement won't be affected due to the foreclosure. But you should speak to the lender and the new owner about your lease agreement and sort out matters to be on the safe side.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

When title is foreclosed on a property, all lesser property interests are void, such as 2nd mortgages and leases. Thus, your lease will become void. You may try to contact the new owner and sign a new lease, or wait until you are evicted.
