We have a mortgage with Walter Mortgage Co.(a predatory lender). We recently were told by them that they do not report to the credit bureaus. If this is so, can they report a foreclosure if the they foreclose on the property? On our credit report they are not listed and no payment history is listed.
foreclosures are public record. when an action is begun, the credit agencies will pick up the information from that public record. so, yes, your foreclosure would undoubtedly appear, despite your mortgagee not reporting the loan.
