We have requested to have our loan modified. I have sent the documents over...month after month. During that time we got a temporary modification mortgage payment til they could modify it. In the meantime foreclosure is proceeding....with no sale date. NOW there is a sale date and I continue to send in my financials..etc each month BUT I am still in review. What does this mean? I want to hold put hope that my loan WILL get modified. OR SOMETHING. I can't lose my home!!! What and who decides to do something. I want to think that they don't want this house and will do whatever they can. Can someone shed some kind of light on this for me?

Hi dawnfar!

Welcome to forums!

You should inform the lender that you've requested them to modify the loan and ask them to withdraw the sale date. If the loan modification has been rejected from the lender's end, then he will let you know about it. In case, it's not rejected, you should ask your lender to modify the loan asap so that you can get an affordable payment plan to pay off the dues and save the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
