Our mortgage company illegally posted negative credit info on our Chapter 7 Discharged loan to accelerate the NOD and Foreclosure process. Legal recourse?
They just recently agreed to allow us to short sale the home and after we made a dispute to the credit agency, the negative report was removed in less than 1 week.
We are still awaiting approval from the 2nd lienholder for the short sale but our auction sale is coming in mid January so we can't persue the legal action until post sale.
Are there any other companies doing this to people out there?

Although you have mentioned the whole story but forgot to mention the name of the mortgage company.It would be better if you share the name of the company with the community so that all the members will be benefited and will stay away from these types of companies in coming future.
