If you have a home mortaged and you ask them to produce the note.Will they and can they produce it?And if they can't produce the note can they legally take a home?

Didn't you sign the promissory note at the time of closing? Are you in any kidn of problems? I hope you have a copy of the note with you. Or is it lost? If it is so, please contact the lender asap and ask for one. Check out the terms and conditions for any discrepancy.

I don't have a copy of a promissory note.I do not think there was one signed by me.If I ask the mortager for it ,will they and do they have to give me a copy of it?

I would say that there are attornies whose business is based on what you are talking about. While they claim what you say to be correct--can not take the house if can not produce the note--you will need to check with an attorney.
