Im 58 retired, single and never owned a home. I receive a monthly gross pension of $5000.
Can I get a mortgage due to my age and non working status?
Hi mrsgrandmaoffive!

You can get "Loans for the retired". These loans are specially meant for retired people. The lenders will consider your pension as an income and you will get the loan based on that. If you are getting a disability benefit, it will also be considered an income by these lenders.

You can contact the lenders and check the plans and programs with them. This will help you in choosing the loan.

Thanks.

Hi mrsgrandmaoffive!

Yes, you can definitely get mortgage though you have a non-working status. You can apply for the loans for the retired. You can contact the lenders of your area and ask them if they offer such loans or not. Then you can choose the one which you can afford.

Thanks.
