i am on the deed to my exhusbands home and he is trying to tell me that i have to help pay the loan
Hi dhurst,

Being on the title and on the loan are two completely different things. To be on the title doesn't make you liable to pay for the loan, unless your name appears on the mortgage papers. As your name is only on the deed and not on the mortgage, you do not have to bear the liability of the loan. Moreover, if your husband defaults on the loan your credit score doesn't get affected in any way.

Thanks,

Jerry
