what if your credit is less than perfect
There are ways to work on this but need more details to make intelligent suggestions, for example do you have a goal in mind like a home purchase?
It totally depends on your definition of "less than perfect credit." Most lenders out there would consider a score of 760 or greater to be perfect. Are you truly just right below this margin by calling your credit less than perfect? Even if your score is just below 700 you still shouldn't have a problem getting financed for whatever the case may be. But just remember, in most cases the better the score the lower the interest rate! :D
Define perfect,
is in 600s or over 750?

Hi Alan.
Welcome to the forum.
If you do not have the perfect credit then do you have good credit :)
I do not know what perfect credit is and have not heard of it. But if you have more than 680 credit score and have made payment of all your bills on time in the last 12 months then it is very good credit. Now do you want to get a home loan?
Credit is one part of it only to get a loan and it is true that if you have good credit you will qualify for better rates and terms. But you should also have a steady score of income to show the lender that you have the ability to pay off the loan. So you need to inform us about your credit and employment history a bit more so that we can help you better.
You can even go for No-obligation free consultation from the community professionals to know whether you can get a mortgage or not and how can you improve your credit score.
Hope this helps. Keep us posted and feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry

there is no such thing as perfect in this earthly life.
you'll just have to wait for the rapture.

There really is no such thing as perfect credit. However, if you have had late payments in the past and some credit issues FHA is always a great way to go and the rates are very good. If you are interested in applying for a loan or would like to see where you stand in terms of credit and what you would be eligible for please contact me. :D
Hi Idestefano,
Welcome to the forum.
By perfect credit, I would mean a credit profile which doesn't have late/missed payments or loan defaults, collection or judgment issued by the court. By the way, are you a lender or broker? just curious to know as because you asked the poster to contact you. I think it's a bit promotional stuff, and the rules here don't allow for it. Just take a look at the rules available at http://www.mortgagefit.com/terms-services.html and read through the lines on promotional stuff.
God bless you.
