Ok im about to try for a Fha loan and have been searching for info online.
Looking at there web. site I see you can Pre-qualify is it better to try it this way and then let them send it to a lender or is better to try and find a lender myself ?

I checked the site but found no lenders and I know of two right off the bat that are in my area so im not sure why it wont pull any up.

Contact the two Lenders you mentioned and ask them for a pre-approval, not a pre-qualification. Pre-qualifications don't mean anything ... only pre-approvals are worthwhile. You'll need to provide your Loan Officer with some supporting documentation to receive a pre-approval, but it'll be worth it. Real Estate Agents, and sellers of homes, don't care about anything except a solid pre-approval (if you're seriously considering buying a house).
Raymond is correct. Pre-approvals are extremely important! It shows the realtors that you're extremely interested and qualified to buy a home. They will tend to be more tentative and work harder for your business. Most realtors won't work with you unless you have one.
