how to qualify for a home with bad credit

Posted on: 26th Sep, 2009 01:33 pm
How can I qualify to purchase a home with a credit score of 600?
There may be lenders who can work with you to get laon, but the interest rates may be hihg

Best part woudl be to work on imprving the score to 620 from 600 and that shoudl nto take much time

If you ahve any credit cards make sure to pay them off and work on paying your car payment and others bills on time, that will help you to improve the score

Also do nto borrow or apply for new credit cards or loan

It depends on where you are. There are regional lenders who will work with you. For example, I know of one that will not blink at that score in NY, NJ or CT

There are more important things than credit score.

Provided you have adequate debt servicing ability, some lenders will still lend to you but may require additional safeguards or charge a higher rate.

i'm not sure i can get behind your stance wretched. since many lenders are now limiting their borrowers to a minimum of 620 score, then that becomes, now, a very important part of the overall mix.
