My original grant deed & loan papers were lost or burned in a fire, My property was paid off and The seller has agreed. I wanted to know if i typed up a SUBSTITUTION OF TRUSTEE and Full Reconveyance on regular paper just like all the others look, and had the Trustor sign with it being notarized can I then record that as a legal document ? or do I have to pay to have it be done by a tittle co?
Hi jackandtresa,
In my opinion, rather than doing the whole thing yourself, it will be better if you could take the opinion of an attorney in this matter. He will go through your situation and let you know what steps you need to take in order to get the property transferred in your name.
Thanks
