I have a question my uncle wants to put his name on the deed but his parents have passed away many years ago can i file a quit claim deed so his name can be added to the deed ?

If he wishes to remove his deceased parents' name and get his name added to the deed, then he will have to file an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office.

Your uncle should even have a word with a local real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard. The attorney will guide him better in this regard.
