this is tj again from an earlier post i should have been more detailed im not married, and i need to file chapter 7 because the job i now have pays alot less than when i purchased my home, so chapter 13 is not an option there is no extra money, i live in richmond va, after i file chapter 7 is there anyway i can keep my home ? maybe later down the road trying to refinance it to get it from under the bankruptcy status?

You will be able to save the property if you file Chapter 7. You can reaffirm your mortgage dues when you are in bankruptcy. This will make you personally liable for the dues. You will have to make regular payments to the lender. This will help you in saving your property.
