In 2008 our home was in a foreclosure process, home was locked up, secured by the bank, on the court docket etc. House did not sell and foreclosure was dismissed, but we did not know until we got notices for weed control violations. Thus, we took care of lawn . We then found out house did not sell. Now, in 2011 house is in foreclosure again and hopefully they will sell it. The hard part is we were trying to get a loan thinking the house had foreclosed in 2008, officially. We took advantage of the time period repairing our credit. We are in mid 600's for credit scores. Now, we are told it may be three years from the date of the new foreclosure that we thought officially occured in 2008. The house basically was dormant for those years. Does anyone have any ideas on this or experienced this issue. I have all of the documentation that the house was in the foreclosure process, they did not sell, then currently in foreclosure again. HELP any ideas out there ?
Unfortunately, you are kinda stuck. Since the lender postponed the foreclosure, you were technically still the legal owner. Now that the foreclosure process has started again, it will be on your credit report. Unless it is not reporting as of now. And you can get approved before the foreclosure hits your credit. But chances are, the mortgage is severely past due, and the UW will uncover the property is in foreclosure.
