have over $15000 credit card debt and need to file chapter 13?

My husband was unemployed for about a year and 1/2 about a yr. ago. before he became unemployed we made our monthly credit card payments. He found a job making less than unemployment about a year ago. And have not been able to make any payments on credit cards. We received our 1rst summons this morning at 7am. what a wake up call/ and sure we will get more summons. I want to file chapter 13 on them, but afraid the trustee will feel we cannot make the pmt amount to pay back? I am sick at my stomach over all this and very nervous. I don't work, cause our son is ADD with other disorders. We live in KY. Please reply
