I fell behind in my mortgage, but have worked out a plan with the mortgage company and am making consistant payments. Every month the mortgage company leaves a note on the door knob to contact them, why do they do this?? I have contacted them and they said they do it just to make sure the property is occupied. Does this sound right??
Hi shsdawgs,
I don't think it sounds rights. If you have arranged for a payment plan and paying the mortgage as per that plan, then they shouldn't leave such messages. You should contact your lender and ask them to not do so.
Thanks

It seems like you've already had that conversation with the lender. Until such time as you're caught up with your payments, you can expect to hear from them. They need to do their due diligence, which is to contact delinquent borrowers on a regular basis in an effort to solve the initial problem of late payments.
