boyfriend disappeared and left me w/loan on mobile home

Posted on: 26th Jul, 2011 04:55 am
hello.
I was with my boyfriend 7 years, during this time we purchased a mobile home. I am on the lease but he had a bit higher of a credit score. He's been gone since November, and my mother and uncle moved in because he has cancer and i needed my moms help with the kids. Question, if a person takes a loan out on a mobile home and they dont pay on it {mymom has been paying since december} and he's know where to be found, how do i get him off the everything. My mom and uncles income can handle the payments, but their credit isnt the best. We've lived here 3 years. I cant see the park letting go of people that pay there rent and house payment because the one who didnt pay, left. What is our best option. Please help. I really dont want to take my grandkids out of their school, and its a good area. Again i am on the lease and while he's the head person on the loan im next to him on the loan. :?:
Please help, my uncle is very sick and collects disabliity as does my mother. How can we do this.

I believe it was your post that I responded to earlier today. Since your former beau is no longer in the picture and cannot be located, it will be necessary for you to take legal measures to eliminate him from title, etc.

That means obtaining legal counsel. Doing so will certainly not be free, but you ought to be able to have a consultation and learn what you can and cannot accomplish without having to come out of pocket.

if you are on the loan with him, then you would need to refinance the loan into your name, or continue paying the mortgage until you can refinance. you can remove him from title by having him complete the quitclaim deed. if you are paying the mortgage, the lender will continue to accept them. good luck
