I have messed up everything. I decided to file BK myself, to ward off a wage garnishment. But as luck would have it, I was missing some paper work. I have taken care of the garnishment. The BK court dropped my filing, but chapter 7 still appears on my credit report. I want to get a VA, or FHA loan. Just want to know what are my chances of getting this completed. My credit scores average 620. Thanks
hi grechell,
chapter 7 bankruptcy will appear in your credit report though it was dismissed by the court due to the insufficient paperwork. like any negative item, it will remain in your credit report for the next 7 years.
take care
