i filed bankruptcy and received a discharge from it in the beginning of the year. but i did not reaffirm my mortgage. i have continued to make my payments on time to the bank. my question is how i can get my bank to show my mortgage history on my credit report. do i have to refinance? any suggestions?
Hi Guest,
As you haven't reaffirmed your mortgage, the lender is not liable to report your mortgage payments to the credit bureaus. This is because, you're not personally liable for paying off the mortgage anymore. If you wish you may surrender the property to the lender and stop paying the mortgage.
Thanks,
Jerry

Call the lender and ask them why they are not reporting to the credit bureau. We can not answer for them
When mortgages are become part of a bankruptcy, they are often handled manually in a special department. The special department usually does not report anything to the credit bureaus because to do so they would have to submit something manually every month.
It seems your mortgage is just not part of the automated system anymore.
If you are paying as required and the mortgage is not in any special category as part of a bankruptcy or anything, call the lender and ask if they can put it back into the automated process.
