Hi there… I had filed Chapter 13 and got a discharge from it. However, I can find bankruptcy reported on my credit report. Isn’t it that mortgages fall off credit report if reported discharged in chapter 13 bk?
hi cassini,
chapter 13 bankruptcy will be mentioned in your credit report for the next 7 years. i assume that you have received a payment plan in order to pay off your mortgage when you filed chapter 13. if you're paying as per the plan, then this positive info will be reported to your credit report.
thanks,
jerry

Mortgages do not fall off the credit report if they are discharged in a Chapter 13.
The credit report should show the mortgage was paid in a bankruptcy.
If you are asking if the credit report show it satsfied but was included in a bankruptcy, that would be correct. That would be the case if the mortgage was eventually paid in full through the Chapter 13 payments.
Negative credit history stays on the credit report for a period of years. A mortgage is no different than a credit card. If not paid as agreed and agreed there is negative history for a number of years.
