My husband and I are seriously considering bankruptcy filing. He is unemployed. We're current on our 1st and 2nd mortgages and I am current on all my credit cards except for the BOA credit card. I’m afraid that they will garnish my wages and bank accounts. But we have no savings. I need to my paycheck to pay the mortgage. On the other hand, my husband is delinquent on all his cards. We want to keep our house, but get a fresh start. Is bankruptcy a good option for us? Thanks!
Hi Miamigal,
In case you and your husband don't want to file bankruptcy, then you and your husband can consolidate the delinquent debts on your credit cards and get rid of them. However, If you don't want to consolidate your credit debts, then you can go ahead with the bankruptcy filing. You can save your property though you file bankruptcy.
Take care
