I have a buyer on a short sale and that sale is 1000 over homestead act protection. The Title company will not have closing because there is 6000 in credit card leins on me and not my husband. The amount is protected under homestead but doesn't mean anything to Title Company. I have offered my wedding ring (4500) or car valued at 5000 but they will not settle. What can be done?
Hi Squaw,
Unless the liens are paid off, it will be difficult for you to close the deal. You should try and take steps to pay off the credit card lien.
Thanks
