Stripping a second

Posted on: 27th Oct, 2013 11:53 am
My attorney neglected to strip my second when I filed a chapter 7 and told me just not to pay my second. This caused me to have to file a 13, the attorney told me I would have to wait 2 years. Making yet another mistake I had to get another attorney to repair the damage and was told I had to wait 4 years to strip the 2nd. HELP!
Hi Savannah,

Well, I have never heard that it will take 4 years of time to strip off a second lien. You should ask the bankruptcy attorney to clarify the matter. To know more about lien stripping, check out the given page:

Thanks

Talk to your bankruptcy attorney right now and ask him to explain you in details about the entire matter. If you still have some queries, ask your attorney again.

You can contact the Lawyer Disciplinary Agency for the lack of professionalism in the way your bk attorney has handled your case. Here is their website: http://www.americanbar.org/groups/professional_responsibility.html
