Can a past second mortgage debt collector put a lien in a new unrelated home purchase by the debtor?
First of all check whether the 2nd mortgage lender have any judgement against you or not. If they not then you do not have vto be worry.
If the judgement is still on you then they could have a put judgement lien against your property. But the mortgage on that property will get the pruority & the equity would have to exceed $60,000. Otherwise, they can not put a lien directly .
