buying a home in KY after deed in lieu

Posted on: 15th Apr, 2010 03:48 pm
How long do i have to wait to buy a home after deed in lieu. I signed a deed in lieu back in December of 2007. I had to do it because of job change to another state.

Now, I am making 250000 a year and my credit score is 718. Quick response will be appreciated..
Hi nabeela!

Welcome to forums!

You will have to wait for 3-4 years after a deed in lieu of foreclosure in order to get a mortgage. As you've a good credit score, I would suggest you to contact few lenders and check out if you would be able to get a loan. However, I feel that though you get a mortgage, you may have to pay a higher interest rate.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
