My husband and I want to buy a house. I have a 620, but the lender says we cannot use my husband because he had late payments in the last year. My question is, when they decide how much loan I qualify for, will they use just my salary or will we be able to use the household income? It greatly affects the amount of house we can buy.
If your husband will not be on the loan, his income cannot be used.
