My ex-boyfriend is trying to buy a house and he co-signed for my vechicle 2 yrs ago. My lender does not allow refinancing. She suggested I get a loan through my bank and pay it off. My bank will not give me enough money to cover the cost of the vechicle. I still owe 12,000 on it. HWhat should I do?
Hi,
Welcome to the forums.
Why do you think of taking a bank loan when you have a cosigner. If your ex-boyfriend has signed on the loan, the loan document must state that if you fail, the cosigner has to pay it. I think before you approach the bank any further, talk to your lender. If you can explain your situation, the lender can help you. Perhaps he can convince the cosigner to repay the loan.
