Hi sammy!

Welcome to forums!

You may be able to contest a property deed. You can contact a real estate attorney and he/she will further guide you in this regard.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

My father and uncle have inherited my grandparents estate! My uncle refuses to pay 50/50 of the utility bills and my father has been forced to pay all for the last 12 months. What can my father do ???

Hi Angelica,

Your father can take legal help in this regard. He can contact a real estate attorney and check out if he can force your uncle to make half of the payments.

Thanks

Hi Angelica,

Check with your father, if he can buy out your's uncles share..

if he agrees - Before the transaction... ask him to share the costs (utility bills etc) spent by your father from last 12 months or what ever the tenure it was...

If he refuses...then approach real estate attorney...

as a co-owner of the property, your uncle must share the property maintenance cost...
