If my wife and I get a divorce and she quick claims me on my house and she defaults on hers can the bank still try to attach my house even though Im not on her house, its in her name only, thankyou
Hi Roy,
Your wife quit claimed her interest in the property to you and now you are the sole owner of that property.
And in her other house on which she has defaulted, she is the only person who will be held liable for the payments and the lender can not attach your house for that.
Thanks
James

hi guys,
just looking for something in the web and found your site. i have heard of the quick claim and here's a word of advice - you don't need to bother if your ex has defaulted; the loan is in her name and against her home I believe, so don't worry, everything will be fine.
